30x40, Acrylics On Canvas, 2022

Zoochosis is defined as a form of psychosis that develops in animals within zoos. Symtoms of this condition include pacing, bar biting, bobbing, swaying, self-mutilation, over grooming, lastly regurgitating and reingesting food. In other words, animals lose their minds being confined to such small spaces.

It's not within an animal's DNA to be living within cages. It's within their nature to walk miles and miles a day. When you pay to go to a zoo you are paying to witness animals suffering and go mad for your own amusement.
