Eggs are commonly seen as an everyday food. They are marketed as being heart healthy and as being part of a complete diet. They come in many forms and are a common ingredient in many recipes. However, eggs are not healthy and are not safe for human consumption. Worst of all, there are victims within the egg industry. Baby male chicks are disposed off because they will never produce eggs. They are killed on the day of their births by being thrown into a grinder, being suffocated, or being gassed. Female hens then spend the rest of their lives producing an ungodly amount of eggs which is a painful and strenuous process. By choosing to eat eggs you are contributing to the deaths of countless baby male chicks and the suffering of egg laying hens. There is no reason to eat them.
